The Makers Prize is for small, independent makers.

We started it because we couldn't find a prize we wanted to enter ourselves.

As independent soapmakers, the awards we found were either expensive to enter, aimed at much larger brands, or didn't really reflect the way we work. We wanted something smaller in scale and closer to the reality of making things ourselves.

So we started our own and invited other makers, artists and specialists to be our judges. We look at the things that matter: the craft, the product, the quality and the design.

The Makers Prize is about recognising good work and giving independent makers something to be proud of. As the prize is judged by industry specialists and peers, that recognition is all the more meaningful.

Every shortlisted and winning maker receives an official Makers Prize award mark, which can be used on your website, social media, packaging and promotional materials.
